Who can use this
A parent or guardian creates the account and is responsible for it. Children use it through profiles the parent sets up. If you are under 18 and signing up for yourself, we need a guardian’s email address and they have to confirm before you can take assessments or earn a certificate.
What it costs
Nothing, at the moment. Everything in the product is free while we are getting started. If that changes we will tell you before it does, and nothing your child has already done will be taken away.
What we ask
- Do not share an account with people outside your family.
- Do not try to break the sandbox that runs your child’s code.
- Do not upload anything you would not want a child to see.
Certificates
A certificate says a specific learner passed a specific assessment on a specific date. Anyone can check one at its verification link. We may withdraw a certificate if it was issued in error or the assessment was compromised; if we do, the page says so and says why.
What we do not promise
We will try to keep the service running and your data safe, and we will not pretend that nothing can ever go wrong. We take backups. If something breaks, we will tell you what happened rather than hoping you do not notice.
Ending it
You can erase your account at any time from Your data, and it takes effect immediately. We would only close an account ourselves for something serious, and we would tell you why.
Note for whoever publishes this: a draft, not reviewed by a lawyer. Before launch it needs the operating company’s name and address, a governing-law clause, and a liability position someone is willing to stand behind.
